CHARACTERISTICS OF ARTIFICIAL TURF

Artificial turf is made of plastic fibers that help it to have the look and color of natural grass. As a tip, the longer the fibers are, the more natural it will look, but this is always a matter of taste.

At Brikum we can offer you 2 different types of grass where you can choose the size of the fibers you prefer, all for your comfort. One of 30 mm and another of 40 mm, where the dimensions of the roll are from 1×2 meters to 20×2 meters so your options will be more extensive, you can put it both in a balcony and in a garden.

PLACEMENT

When you are very clear about which lawn you have chosen and you want to take action and assemble it, you will have to do it in the following way:

Land

1. Remove any weeds or vegetation, as well as stones and debris that you may find.
2. Install the weed control netting overlapping the edges by at least 2 to 3 cm.
3. Then unroll the grass, always on the same side and in the same direction. WARNING: Check that the grass has no defects by combing it, when it is cut, claims are no longer accepted.
4. Cut both ends, minimum 2 to 3 lines of stitching, even if there is no join with another roll.
5. Place the joints in such a way that they fit perfectly. Verify that the threads are always in the same direction, and comb and check if the joint is well concealed before gluing.
6. Once the adjustment has been made, lift both sides, apply joining tape and its corresponding glue.
7. Close the two raised sides and ensure that the fibers do not get caught underneath. Wait 48 h before use.
8. On the outer edges fix the grass with the staples making sure that they are not trapped underneath and can be seen.
9. For a good finish before brushing, spread the silica sand 4-6 kg/m2 and expand it with a special machine, taking advantage of its combing.
